FAQs

Is SPMU eyeliner permanent?

Semi permanent makeup eyeliner is a permanent treatment – hence its other name, cosmetic eyeliner tattoo. The applied pigment will fade over time but will never completely disappear – it is also likely that black pigments will eventually have a slight blue hue.

To keep colour density and shape, colour boosts are required. Most people opt for a colour boost 12 months after their initial treatment.

What if I already have existing permanent eyeliner and want to start again?

If you have existing cosmetic eyeliner tattoos, it’s important to mention this at the time of booking your consultation – particularly if this has been applied by another artist.

Eyelid skin is extremely thin and delicate, so it may be a better option to have your existing eyeliner removed if you’d like to have new pigment added, so not to oversaturate the skin.

If you require laser removal before new permanent make-up can be applied, we work closely with one of the most experienced and only specialists in laser eyeliner removal in the UK – Bianco Beauty – who can consult you on safe removal.

Does Semi Permanent Makeup Eyeliner hurt?

Permanent makeup is applied using a fine needle, precisely depositing high quality ink into the upper dermal layer of your skin. While there can be minor discomfort, award winning artist Ewelina prides herself on ensuring the comfort of her clients – as can be seen in our many 5-star reviews.
