Permanent Makeup in Milton Keynes
Ewelina provides cosmetic tattoos including eyebrows, eyeliner and lips, so that you can wake up looking your very best every day.
What is Semi-Permanent Makeup?
Also known as permanent make-up or cosmetic tattoo, SPMU is the tattooing of subtle pigments on your face to resemble makeup or enhance your natural features.
This could be to fill in or improve the shape of sparse eyebrows, to create a more prominent lip-line or to keep your favourite eyeliner permanently on your lids. There are many styles and applications of SPMU – Ewelina will help you determine the best style for you.
The application of semi-permanent makeup is a similar procedure to a ‘normal’ tattoo. Ink is applied to the upper dermal layer of the skin using a fine needle. While cosmetic tattoos are technically permanent, they are referred to as semi-permanent as there will be a degree of fading over time, so top-ups will be needed to keep your SPMU looking its best.

What to Expect After Booking
Initial consultation: you get to meet Ewelina herself and discuss your treatment options and suitability. She will give you a consultation form to fill out, and answer any questions you may have.
The semi-permanent make-up process is completed over two sessions:
Session 1
Approximately three hours long – the shape will be mapped and agreed upon and the colour will be chosen before the pigment is applied.
Great care and precision will be taken during the mapping and application process to ensure the most flawless results possible.
Session 2
4-8 weeks after the initial application, you’ll return to the clinic for additional pigment to be added. This will complete your SPMU treatment.
Cosmetic tattoos are expected to have a degree of fading over time as they are applied superficially to give the most natural appearance. The amount of fading varies person to person. Top up appointments are recommended and available anywhere between six months and two years after your initial application.
(Top up appointments are charged separately)
FAQs
Semi-Permanent makeup gives enhancement and definition to your natural beauty so that you can wake up feeling your best every day. You may want to define your natural features with subtle SPMU, or opt for a fresh make-up look – your permanent makeup is designed to make you feel the most confident in your everyday self.
Semi permanent makeup is a permanent procedure – hence its other name, cosmetic tattoo. The applied pigment will fade over time but will never completely disappear.
To keep colour density and shape, colour boosts are required. Most people opt for a colour boost 12 months after their initial treatment.
If you have existing SPMU, it’s important to mention this at the time of booking your consultation – particularly if this has been applied by another artist.
Every treatment is unique, so whether Ewelina can work around existing pigment will depend on your unique circumstances.
If you require laser removal before new permanent make-up can be applied, we work closely with one of the best laser tattoo removal clinics in the UK – Bianco Beauty – who can consult you on removal.
